On December 26th, 2005, a year after the devastating Tsunami, Amma walked 2.5km along beach road from the Ashram to Azheekkal, where 42 bodies had been cremated last year in a mass funeral. She went to pay tribute to those who had perished in the tsunami. While the walk was in remembrance of the dead, it was also one of hope and renewal.
